Our Story

Written in the Stars

We met in New Orleans. That on its own would be a unique story considering where we came from, but the more unique story is this: We have both dreamt of a partner to share our lives with; one to build a home and fill our hearts with. When we moved to New Orleans, we were merely two young souls seeking our fortunes. Truly then, it was fate that brought us together (with a little help from a kind friend). What kept us together was a love of games, a passion for cooking, and an ardent desire to learn as much as we could about each other forever.

The Honeymoon

A Quiet Week Under the Mountain

In days of old, a honeymoon was a journey taken by a young couple to promote fertility in the two-three weeks following their wedding. The couple would indulge in mead and a journey around the mountain for its restorative properties. Sequestered there, one might think it’s romantic, and if we still drank like the Vikings today, this would be a fantastic concept! However, for many reasons, this is not a custom we can take part in. However, we would like to keep some tradition alive by journeying into beautiful Mt. Rainier and spending some quality time together in a restorative manner while acclimating to newly married life.

Though there are some more details we could share, a bit of mystery is more romantic!

Supporting Us at Our Wedding and Beyond

Truly, having you there to celebrate with us is all we could ask for. Many have asked us for a registry or what to give us. Truth be told: We have everything we could ask for and more in each other and the people we hold dear to our hearts (That’s you!). However, since our people are kind and won’t stop asking us, we have set up this fund for people to help support our past decisions, our present life, and our future endeavors. You do not have to give us anything! We are not expecting anything from anyone, and nothing on this page is a request. It is a simple way to tangibly support our married life if you desire to.
